My husband and I decided we wanted a small wedding with just the two of us. However, we did want a wedding with the dress, beautiful setting, photographer and everything, not just a court house. We are pretty laid back people and we just wanted to show up on the day and get married, we didn't want to worry about all the little details (but we still wanted it to be perfect). That's where Jackie at the Inn at Valley Farms came in and made our dreams come true! She offers elopement packages that include the photographer, officiant, flowers, and many other little details. It was perfect! We showed up the day before, picked the location we wanted to have the ceremony (which was very hard because the farm has so many beautiful spots!) and got to enjoy the rest of our day together. Jackie was amazingly accommodating and holy crap can she cook, those were the best breakfasts I have ever had! She took care of everything! Our wedding far surpassed anything I could have ever imagined, it was intimate, fun, beautiful, and perfect.
We had our wedding with around 70 guests on 9/30/17. From the first time I spoke with Jackie on the phone I knew this venue was a great fit for us. Her farm is organic and the animals are pasture raised. The B&B holds green practices as a high priority. Jackie really focuses on the vision of the Bride and Groom as top priority. The farm grounds are well maintained, the farm is breathtakingly beautiful, the animals are happy and well cared for..and delicious! The grass fed beef and heirloom pork - yum yum! Jackie is an amazing cook and really emphasizes farm to table eating. Throughout the entire planning process Jackie was always available, quick to reply to all emails/phone calls and always able to provide helpful information. It is apparent that she has 'done this before' because she thought of several finer details that we had overlooked. She makes herself available as a 'day of coordinator' on wedding day, to direct vendors as they arrive. When you reserve the Inn at Valley Farms for your wedding you will have the entire grounds and all rooms on the most special weekend/day of your life, giving everything a relaxing family reunion type of feeling. Also nice to know that the Inn at Valley Farms is always available for a relaxing weekend getaway / anniversary celebration in the years to come. I hope to visit again many times over the years! Our wedding day truly was the best day of our lives and I couldn't imaging it having been as perfect anywhere else.
I recently worked with a couple that hosted thier wedding at the Inn at Valley Farms. It is a lovely venue, perfect for a smaller intimate wedding. As a wedding planner (Memorable Events) it is such a treat to work there and look forward to being there again!
Great B&B, not much breakfast (big basket of bread) but it was all delicious. Inn keeper was extremely friendly. I would stay again.
The venue really is a "blank slate" to create your dream wedding day. That being said, realize it is truly a 'blank slate' in that everything must be vendor hired - to include tent, heaters for the tent, tables, chairs, dinnerware, utensils, port-a-potty, wait staff, bartender, flowers, caterer, cake, DJ/band.. etc; all of this, in addition to the venue fee, adds up. We didn't use a wedding planner, but that is an option for those who desire to do so (additional $$). Jackie was very helpful in providing an approved vendor list and all of the vendors we used from that list were excellent. Additionally, all Inn rooms, both Cottages and the Farmhouse must be occupied by your wedding party or family/friends for the entire wedding weekend (Thursday-Saturday night for the Farmhouse and Friday-Saturday night for the Inn and Cottages). The Farmhouse sleeps 8 and each Cottage sleeps up to 6, the Inn rooms sleep 2 each. For me, this was the only real drawback - organizing who would stay in which rooms and what amount each guest was paying for their rooms. It often became confusing and tedious to figure all of that out. If any of the rooms/beds are not occupied then the cost not covered is the responsibility of the Bride/Groom (or whoever is paying for the wedding). Ok that's just my two cents against the wedding industry - too expensive!!! Of course, Jackie also offers elopement packages which I'm sure are much less expensive.
Little slice of heaven in the middle of nowhere. Kid friendly. Excellent venue for a rustic or outdoor wedding.
